Modern craftsman is the best way to describe Mark and Lori’s new home. The first decision they made was to hire us, then as team we went out to find the right designer/architect. Suncastle Design was the right fit for them. For many months the home plan evolved while they worked through the design in visual 3-d renderings. This was a great tool to help assist in visualizing what was being drawn up. Most of the major changes and decision were settled in the conceptual phase of design. This resulted in a very smooth construction process whereby we completed their home months ahead of schedule. Not to mention that Mark and Lori were extremely organized, very accommodating, and really enjoyed the building process. Some of the key features that resonate in the home are:

  • Douglas fir glu-laminated beams continuously frame the exposed upper floor and run right out to the exterior forming the covered area
  • Custom mono-stringer open tread staircase
  • Chef’s custom kitchen
  • Feature fireplace with stone surround and custom reclaimed fir mantle
